                                            CHAPTER -2

 Kendra looked around in wonder at the shelves as though she had come here for the first time in her life.

 

“What are we doing here, Mom?”

“I have absolutely no idea” said a bewildered Mrs. Ralson.

 “Ooh, are we here to go and get some disguised magic books?” exclaimed Kendra excitedly. “

You will see” said Professor Miller with a small smile. They then entered a small room in the store which neither Mrs. Ralson nor Kendra had ever seen. Professor Miller said, “ Chesley, we have a new student”. A woman who looked as though she were in her twenties enthusiastically came trotting up to them and she took out her wand and gently waved it. A small ball of light appeared at the tip of the wand as the lady called Chelsey muttered some indistinct words. Only then Kendra got to see her features. She had a very round face and radiant red hair in a shade such a shade of which Kendra had always wanted. She also had bright blue eyes. Then Professor Miller said, “ Well I’d better get going. One of the students has  bewitched the potions teacher. Apparently, it is a bedazzling hex mixed with a silence spell. Now he cannot take class. Oh, its Philips again ,I’m going to give him triple detention!”

“Well Chelsey,”, she conjured a piece of paper,” help Kendra buy these”. Then, she flicked her wand, and with a flurry of robes, she disappeared. “Come on Kendra and Mrs. Ralson  we had better get shopping”, said Chelsey cheerfully. She then with her wand touched a pool of water that Kendra hadn’t noticed till now. However, to Kendra and Mrs. Ralson’s surprise, the pool expanded and turned into crystal beneath their feet. “Bullshot Street” cried Chelsey. Kendra and her mother watched in awe as the transformation happened. She then said, “ Well , you first she told “,Kendra and Mrs.Ralson. They looked around and saw many unusual but very interesting things. For starters they saw many people dressed liked Professor Miller. They were wearing robes in different patterns and colours. Chelsey too went into the place of wonder . The door vanished. Chelsey told them to come closer to her so that they wouldn’t get lost. She first took them to a shop called Jane Pistol’s Finest Robes. She showed them to a kind looking lady who Kendra assumed was Jane Pistol. “Ah, first time at Dogseye ? Not to worry. I’ll have you in the finest robes in no time, dear.” She then waved her wand and measuring tape a quill and a piece of parchment appeared in thin air. Then the measuring tape started to measure Kendra’s armpits, her legs, her arms and then her neck. In the meantime, the quill started writing the measurements on the parchment. But then, Kendra had a sudden thought. “Where will we get the money? We only have pounds as currency.” “ Ah, yes”, said Chelsey ,”I will pay with wizard money and then you pay me back muggle money and I transfer it into wizard money again”. “The reason Professor Miller picked me to take you shopping is because I”, she said proudly , “ know how the wizard and muggle currency works.” “1 aurali is equal to 50 dollars, 1 argyris  is equal to 25 dollars and 1 elidyr is equal to 7 dollars”, she stated. “Pretty simple actually if you learn it.” By this time the shop owner, Jane, had found the right robes for Kendra. They were grassy green as if they had grass stains on them and the hat, she brought too was this colour. “Next stop, WINSTON’S WANDS!”

Sounds a little strange though. But I guess it is kinda like Hogwarts.

  Two of the boys were shouting for Kendra and their mother.   ‘You see, mu-‘, but before Krystal could finish her sentence Oliver, Lavender and Ruby swooped in one by one and each told her that their job had been finished.   Krystal by give her treatment by which she put her mouth against Chelsey’s and started breathing into Chelsey’s mouth. Chelsey gave a sudden jerk and stirred. She tried to speak but no voice came out. Her eyes turned wide and she clutched her throat and gagged. She mouthed the word ‘help’ . Then Krystal mouthed word ‘wand’. Kendra then said, ‘ Use your wand, Chelsey’. Chelsey looked relieved when she took out her wand and pointed it at herself. She spluttered, ‘ The snow is Valemanium snow. It   freezes the victim. But who would do such a th-‘, suddenly she stopped dead when her eyes wandered to Krystal. ‘What are you doing here , Kristy?’ Everyone looked from Krystal to Chelsey again and again.                                             Chapter-3     Sorry that I did not post a chapter yesterday. I will send two chapters today for that reason.😁  They then walked on to the wand shop. When they reached the shop, Chelsey burst in with great enthusiasm. She then tightly hugged a man sitting on a very large sofa in the middle of the shop. “Well if it isn’t my favourite troublemaker, ”said the man in a happy tone. He had a very long nose and   eyes as blue as Chelsey’s. His hair was grey due to age but the evidence that he had had black was still there.
